Relax with a massage meant to promote circulation and calm the body. This massage uses kneading, light stretching, and elongation strokes to effectively reduce stress, lengthen muscle fibers and soothe aches and pains. Great for everyone especially if you haven't experienced massage therapy yet.
Struggle with chronic pain and a lot of "knots"? This is a different form of Swedish massage using heavier pressure and slower movements to access the deeper layers of muscle tissue. There may be moments of slight discomfort but should never be painful, and will usually dissipate as tension is release. This is great for people who need the "knots" worked out and trigger point therapy to diminish chronic pain.
This targeted therapy assists in the rehabilitation of injuries and other diagnosed conditions such as TMJ, thoracic outlet syndrome, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, and many others. This is a comprehensive approach that involves thorough assessment and using a wide variety of treatment methods and techniques to treat soft-tissue musculoskeletal disorders.
Myofascial Release (MFR), the John F. Barnes, PT approach is gentle, non-injurious and highly effective. It focuses on releasing restrictive barriers within the three dimensional web-like structure in our bodies, what is known as fascia. This web-like structure interconnects, binds, supports, and is interwoven throughout each muscle fiber, nerve, bone and organ. When trauma occurs to the body, the fascia can start to have a 'shrink wrap' effect on all these pain sensitive structures, and can end up causing approximately 2,000 lbs per square inch of tensile pressure upon these areas. This pressure will not show up on Xrays, CAT scans, etc. It can cause a whole array of symptoms and debilitating pain, which overtime, if untreated, can turn into disease.
MFR is usually performed without the use of lotions, oils, creams, or any machinery. It is a hands-on technique that is generally described as a gentle sustained stretch into the body's connective tissue, which allows it to unwind naturally. During treatment, it is encouraged to quiet down and focus on breathing allowing the body and mind to fully take the brakes off. This therapy is best performed skin on skin contact, so it is advised to bring shorts and for women either a two piece bathing suit, or shorts and a sports bra/tank top. By wearing minimal but comfortable clothing you will be able to relax and maintain your comfort level of exposure with different stretches or positions. This provides an opportunity for maximum benefits, and allows the body complete its healing process.
Melt away tension and enter a deeper state of relaxation with the added energy, weight, and warmth of smooth basalt river stones during your Swedish massage. These stones are placed on key areas of the body to help ease tension. The hot stones are used as an extension of the therapist's hands to enhance your massage experience.

Reflexology is an ancient healing art that's been around for thousands of years. Its generally described as applying appropriate pressure to areas that are mapped out on the feet, hands and/or ears to correlating body parts/organs. Pioneers of the field are Dr. William Fitzgerald (Zone Therapy) and Eunice D. Ingham, who paved the way for us to use these healing modalities and their benefits.
There is a scientific theory that maps out areas and reflexes on the feet that correlate with other organs, glands and other body parts. By applying pressure to these points, it stimulates the corresponding organs/areas. Toxic residues can linger inside us and can frequently settle in our feet, causing an interference with energy flow in these zones and pathways. Reflexology helps break up congested areas (either toxins or extra fibers) in the feet and allows for the body to disperse them, helping to restore proper energy flow and helps remove excess waste from the body.
There are 21,000 nerve endings in the body. 7,000 are found in the hands, another 7,000 in the feet, and the other 7,000 throughout the body with a high concentration in the ears, lips and private areas. The body sends 'signals' to these nerve endings when a certain organ or area needs stimulation or attention. Reflexology points are sometimes tender, and are usually the points that need the most work. Overall, it stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system which puts the body at a peaceful and restful state. It is extremely relaxing!
Reflexology is never a diagnosis or a cure for any illness or condition. It does, however, complement with other natural and medical therapies such as: bodywork, massage therapy, physical therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, etc. Reflexology is a natural way to stimulate healing in the body.
